When is a Ford Escort a KIA?

When it hits a Sprinter van. My buddy and I were just talking about a custom bike friendly bumper an hour earlier. Now the insurance claim will pay for the pipe.

We had to push the thing out of the middle of the interstate with cars whizzing by.

And we have a BINGO!.   It was where the southbound I 35 traffic starts to back up to a crawl. I guess he was behind us and cut in front of the third car that bounced him back towards us.

Two young kids- poor girl claimed she was driving to cover his butt.  Neither had a license, but the trooper was cool about not making an arrrest.  Too many other accidents happening at once I guess.

What does that mean?  Driving to cover his butt?

Looks like an EMT bus (sprinter) with Emergency across the back...

She told the officer she was at the wheel in order to keep boyfriend/hubby from taking the insurance hit and/or losing his license. At least that's the way I took it.

He was driving suspended and she told the cop she was driving. I guess she didn't have a license either, perhaps it wasn't suspended. The other driver who hit them back into us said he thought he saw the guy was driving.  Like I said, the trooper  was cool and kinda knew they were lying but didn't want to screw them like a local cop would by putting them both in jail. I guess the municipalities do the revenue thing at every chance , whereas the Trooper would rather not waste time  to show up in court, I guess.

Oh yeah, those stickers were on it when purchased, the guys selling it were just taking a heat gun to them when we showed up, and at the time we thought we'd better leave those on for conversation. Used to be a hospital bed hauler. It has other decals.

Keep an eye out for the sprinter crossing the bridge in Siloam Springs, drop by and talk bikes. I bet we will be at that little campground a time or two before summer is over.

BTW, there's a standing Friday Night Dinner Ride that leaves from the gas station at Lincoln Street & Cheri Whitlock Drive in Siloam Springs, at 6:30 p.m. every week through the summer months. Ride curvy back roads for about 90 minutes then eat. Different place every time. Usually a very eclectic collection of bikes. Join in if you're in town.
