CB750 K1 replacement clamps?
« on: May 31, 2014, 04:52:33 PM »
Does anyone know if there are replacement clamps for the carb to manifold and carb to air box rubbers?

I replaced all the rubbers with new rubbers and the old clamps don't screw up tight enough any more. I can't use normal worm claps from the hardware store because they are 12mm wide. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only person out there with this problem. Also apologies if already been asked and answered a hundred times but I've done a search and can't find any.

Also I got the new set of no number pipes from Yamiya and I don't have the two rubbers or clamps that join the pipes together. Is original the only or best way to go? Or is there other options.

Thanks in advance.

Honda shop or
http://www.normagroup.com/Products
The worm type with slots will chew up the rubber notice Honda did not use that type plus the edge is rolled up on both sides. Use a old one for size or if you need I will measure mine for you.

Wow thanks for the link. Lots of clamps. Any suggestions on which ones? I'm going out to measure width now but from memory the originals are 8mm wide.

Bit of measuring has the clamps at 9mm wide and even though there are two different size clamps, both the rubbers measured at:

9mm (W)
155mm (C)
46.5mm (D)

Look for the Norma 32-50 clamps for the 1969-76 750 K OEM carb-to-head insulators, they won’t “chew up” the rubber and have rolled edges. Made from stainless steel and they fit perfectly into the grooves of the insulator. They usually can be found online from eBay or Amazon in a 10-PAK for around $20 USD.

Thanks Dream750. After going through all the clamps those are the ones that I figured best fit the bill. I believe there is a supplier here in Australia so will give them a go and if no luck I will do the ebay thing. Thanks

Cakey, from my earlier posting, I’ve since learned (thanks Mark) that Carpy also sells the 750 Norma hose clamps as a set of eight. Maybe another source for you, if you can’t get them locally?

Thanks for that Dream 750 but it still makes it hard either way I go. I need 8 for carb to manifold and 4 for the carb to air box so 12 total. Thats alright though. Buy the extras and throw them in the box labelled "im going to need these one day".
