Not Really a Newbie, More Like Welcome Back
« on: May 28, 2014, 06:36:50 PM »
If I am right in assuming that the SOHC website and Forums grew out of the old, old, emailing list from back in the 1990s, then this is just welcome back. My name is Bryan Wood, people call me Woody. I have a 1972 Honda CB750K2, which is now well on its way to being a cafe racer, and before you complain about yet another cafe bike, or ruingin an original early 750-4, here is a picture of it when I got it in 1994.

I then rode it from Boston to New Orleans, then on to L.A. in 1995.. In L.A. I worked as a motorcycle messenger on and off on this bike from 1995 until 2001. I've gone thru 4 motors, and countless other parts, and all that's left from the original bike now is the frame. I took the original speedo off years ago when I rolled over to 100,000, and I figure its got about 125,000 miles on it now. Here is how it looks now, and its still progressing dynamically toward the bike I want. The look is pretty much down though (Honda badges for the tank are in the mail).

More pictures and links and info going in the projects forum in a few minutes.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
