Major Kudos to Mini Mo
« on: June 03, 2014, 06:31:27 PM »
A couple weeks ago, someone posted a CL link in the For Sale section here for a nice set of 4-into-4 pipes for a CB550.  They were exactly that I was looking for my son's bike, but they were located in CA.  "Mini Mo" aka Steve offered to check them out for anyone who was interested since he lived nearby.  I took him up on his offer and he took a ride out just over a week ago to inspect them in person.  The seller was very accommodating and had already told me about the flaws the pipes had.  Steve felt that they were well worth the price, so I paid the seller via PayPal immediately.  Now it gets even better...

The seller wasn't exactly thrilled with the prospect of having to box them up and ship to me in MA.  Steve graciously offered to take them home and pack and ship them.  Today the pipes arrived, carefully packed up and in beautiful shape.

Steve deserves a major thank you for going way above and beyond the call of duty in helping me out.  I still can't believe how nice he was to do this, considering that we have never met and didn't even know each other until just over a week ago.

Steve - you are the man and I hope I can repay the favor to you.  Thanks!

Thanks Tom.
It's called Karma. What goes around comes around and maybe some day someone will help me out.

Glad the pipes looked good and worked out!

MM,
We're of the same mind that people should do good things for others just because.  If you're ever in Minneapolis, the beer's on me.  Good on ya, mate!

Cheers,

I've often told people that the guys in forums like this are part of a brotherhood.  They don't always understand, just like non-riders don't understand what it's like to be on two wheels.  It's something you can't really explain -  you have to experience it to understand.  All I know is that I continue to be amazed with the way members go out of the way for each other to keep these sweet old bikes running.

If Steve ever gets a chance to come over here to the East Coast for a visit, he gets to ride with me on the bike of his choice on some great country roads.
