« on: September 19, 2006, 05:39:26 PM »
I've got some 1/8 inch stainless plate steel that i'm thinking of using as mounting plates for rearsets. will I be able to weld them to the frame, one metal being stainless and the other not?

I asked the same question a while back.  Maybe you'll find the answer(s) I got helpful for your current situation.

;D  The answer is yes.  Both metals are carbon steel based, just different alloys added.  Just make sure a good welder uses the right/proper grade of stainless rod/wire/or whatever......

But, then, a good welder will know that....... ;)
