what size sprockets should my 78 550 k have
« on: April 02, 2005, 02:23:23 PM »
I'm considering changing my rear sprocket to a smaller size because I need a little less rpm when on those long stretches.I was going to put a bigger front on but soon found out that there is not enough room for anything bigger.anyway, I was just wondering what the stock sizes are for my bike.cheers ,Fergie.

Hi,your stock sprockets are 17 tooth front and 37 tooth rear.A 34 tooth back sprocket for a `71-`73 CB500Four fits on there, you`ll have to remove a link or two off of the chain.
