Replacement forks or rechrome CB400/
« on: November 24, 2014, 09:25:38 PM »
I have some 33mm forks that have some rust.  I can have them stripped and re hard chromed or buy replacements.

Has anyone had the replacements from David Silvers or www.cmsnl.com Are they better or worse than the originals.

What would you recommend?  Is there any other suppliers?

Thank you in advance.

I put a set on from DSS when I built my bike, they looked perfect and are very high quality, ~$120 ea. Last I checked Frank's they were comparably priced at $250 a set. That was a while ago though.

I read somewhere that pretty much all replacement fork tubes that you may find were probably manufactured by Marzocchi - didn't find any markings at all on mine.
