From Boston to St. Louis
« on: June 02, 2014, 08:02:49 am »
Hey guys and gals,

I am taking a trip from Boston to St. Louis. I will be taking my 1975 CB750, which I have worked on for the past couple of months and with the invaluable help of friends, it is now complete. That being said, it is a 40 year old bike and I was wondering if there are some of you on the way I could call in case of technical problems. I am leaving Wednesday early evening and my first stop is Morris, CT. About 4 hours from Boston.
Thursday I will be traveling to Harrisburg -

Friday evening I should be in Cincinnati -

I just looked at your route map and you may want to consider an alternate route through East St. Louis. I would probably get on I-64 in O'fallon instead of taking St.Clair Ave. depending on the time of day it might not be safe. If you want to see the real America and all of her bumps and bruises as part of your journey and you are passing through during the day, you'd probay be fine. However, I would deffinately not recommend that route at night. Not the kind of place you would want to be stranded y a 40yr old bike.

Got it! I am hopping my friend will come to meet me somewhere few hours out of St. Louis and then we would ride together to his place. Not certain just yet though, so I do appreciate the tip!
