Cb550 Kerker exhaust question

Hi All,

My 4 into 4 exhaust is pitting really bad and I have a spare 4 into 1 Kerker that will fit.  Do the stock exhaust collar not fit on the Kerker, the Kerker's have the flange built onto the header and the collar does not wrap flush around the pipes.  I worried that w/o the collars the headers are not seated centered into the exhaust port on the engine.

I have a Kerker on my 75 550F. They don't have a flange. There is a flared area that the collars seat against when you are tightening and the pipes are sealed by the standard copper ring gasket.

I can post a couple pictures when I get home.

 Right....You don't use the split washers/collars.

TY all for the replies.  i came into my workshop to just change the regulator/rectifier oct 16' and next thing you know ended up close to doing a rebuild haha. 

i'll update my build page once things are complete

did you remove your center stand?  or was it placed on there for maintenance?

My bike still has the center stand. It doesn't have to be removed for this particular exhaust.

ty!  i might keep it off but will save for when i need to change oil and work on rear tire.
