May seem simple to most but...
« on: September 19, 2006, 08:22:38 PM »
What is the procedure for changing bars on a 75 550 (non SS)?

I looked through the archives - just bits and pieces.

I started taking stuff off and then thought... I should probably ask the experts first!

On a side note... if anyone remembers, I go to college with a guy who has the exact same 550 as i do. we're both cafe-ing ours, he's just doing his in class (we're the #1 tech ed school in the usa). Come to find out that a guy is cafe-ing a 750 in the same class!

But, about the bars, any help would be greatly appreciated!

 ;D

Depends on wether your wiring goes through the bars or on the ooutside!
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Also, if the resivoir has fluid in it, try to keep it upright while the master cylinder is off the bars.  You might get a little air in the lines if you don't.
