Fuel Tank Question

Was there ever a Hondamatic 750 fuel tank made without the fuel quantity sending unit installed?



Does anyone know what this hole is for in the top of the tank?

This tank came on a 1976 Hondamatic (with a fuel gauge).

Is it possible that they made the 1976 Hondamatic without a fuel gauge?

The 77/78 750K models used the same tank as the A models minus the sending unit. You have a later model K tank. The hole in the back would have a rubber tube connected to it (underneath) from the factory. This would be routed down behind the centerstand to divert any spillage while fueling.
