It's a 1977 CB550 K model, althought the engine is from a 1974 CB500.  16k miles, clubman bars, sparkly blue paint (definitely not original).  I am not the original owner, given that I was six when it rolled off the line, so it is hard to tell what is original and what has been replaced.  That said, its a peach - no rust, dings, or dents and the 4-4 exhaust looks almost new.  I've not had to put much work into it other than replacing the shift shaft seal and a faulty ignition.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I will take some pictures and post them - although I used the rainy weather we have been having as an opportunity to pull the exhaust pipes and give them a good polish.  I think I'll wait to take any pictures until they are back on.

Yo, I'm on the eastside and there are a couple others around as well. Do you ever go to VME meetings?

I hope this is not an ignorant question, but what is VME?

I'm not, but the application is sitting on the table ready to be mailed off...I was wondering if there are a lot of SOHC4s there.

another washintoinian here...  I'm on the eastside too (Ellensburg)  I'm surprised there aren't more members on the forum from your area.  I'd love to go riding w/ more SOHC4s if there are any around.

I see a lot of SOHC4s riding around Seattle, so they're out there.
