It's equine or bovine, not human. It's a leg bone from a cloven hoofed quadruped. The ulna has a knuckle on the hand end, and a hinge hook on the other that fits into the humerus.

At least that's what they said at the checkout counter at the Holiday Inn this am...

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

its about 10mm longer than my forearm, the ends are quite rounded from wear as it came from the filter system at the tweed heads/fingal sand pumping facility,we service the bins that collect the debris from the pump like driftwood/kelp/filp flops/beer cans and other stuff lost in the ocean,a few people have drowned and not been found along that stretch?i showed it to the police station and they took details and will check it out.
