Gday from Australia

A little about myself. A few rides have past through the garage in the last 30 years. The current project is this CB500/4 post classic race bike which is in the process of being converted into a roadie. I purchased the CB around 14 years ago with the intention of doing some club racing but as they say life gets in the way of things. I've finally pulled the finger out and plan to have her registered by late this year. The old girl sits besides my older girl a 67 BSA Lightning and 08 Suzuki Bking which is my regular commute. I look forward to the SOHC/4 forum journey. Wish me luck.

PS. I wanted to post some images but require a minimum of 5 posts.

Cheers Ziokahn

Thought I'd send a few pics as I've reached enough posts to upload. That's my brother in his Sunday best who I'd better mention cause his tackling all the mechanical work. Qualified bike mech, I'd be mad not to take advantage of that.
Follow the progress on projects.

Cheers for now.

Thanks for the welcome Kev

I was told from the person who I purchased the bike from that the rims were TZ so quite possibly so is the tacho.
I may need a forum member to confirm this, I am not 100% sure.
Front brake again Fontana style but again not 100%.
My brother and myself are in the process of preparing the engine for road use, fitting the charge system etc.
Most definatley when she is back together, I will post a vid of her firing up and runnig.
Follow the conversion in project shop. Cheers for now.

That would be sacrilege.

Seriously though, to get through rego I'll need to work something out.

We'll hear how loud the music is when I kick her over and go from there.

Are you racing NSW PCRA yet?
I manage a race garage filled with 250 and 350 Yamaha twins. I don't have the skill to work on stuff with "valves".
I could see you at PCRA round 4 when my talented rider buzzes past you on his P6 Proddie TDR250 or the modded TZR250.

Sorry Phill you won't have that pleasure.

Last meeting I attended was Formula Xtreme in 2000/1 on an ex Marty Atlee R1.

The intention was to race this old girl in PCRA when I purchased her around then, but that's another story.

I'll come and say G'day one time when I come out to watch some racing.

Cheers
