Old guy in Boston with old bike seeks others, old or young, who fix up old bikes and like to RIDE them, swap tips, resources, etc.

Hey drlarryw...There's a core group of four of us that try to get together once a month for beer, food and bike talk. Sometimes we manage to get others to join us. Sometimes we meet and work on bikes. Usually, but not always, we post our plans here...http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/bostonareasohc4riders/  We'll probably get together again once Andy is back from Japan so we can hear about his trip.

I have to travel to Boston from NY for about 3 days out of every week. It would be nice to meet fellow hobbyists.

I go up to Boston almost every other weekend from NorthWestern CT (Long distance relationship....)  I am hoping to get my bike road worthy and registered in the next week or so hopefully before the cold weather sets in.  But if you guys set up rides on the weekends I will have to try and meet up as well.

MgMt - there is going to be the Annual new England Fall Ride organized by me coming up in a few weeks - Ill post details once I get back from Japan (after Oct 4th). Would be good to meet up. There is also a short ride on the 7th October - so far just the 3 of us but anyone is welcome to join. Likely around west of Boston towards Barre area and back kind of thing.

Art you do need to move to Boston! Think of the possibilities!

Johnny - I think its time you came to Boston and brought the beer with you :-)

OK Here I go, Are heavy duty studs worth it? The # 2 Cylider is dirtier or a little rustier than the other 3.Do i hone or rebore to next over? standard rings? Do I really have to change the primary chains? The cam chain rollers and slider are brittle so those will go new which by the way where is the best place to buy what I need? This is my first time at a rebuild so any advise is greatly appreciated! Don't wanna bomb you all at once, that's enough for now I guess. Peace , Timmy
