« on: April 24, 2014, 08:15:58 AM »
Hello Forum members!
My name is Ramon, I'm from São Paulo - Brazil and learning a lot with you.
I'm rebuilding a CB400/4 1976. I'm used to call her as "Ariel" - The litlle Mermaid due her redhead and the "mermeid voice" wich cames from 4 into1 exausts.
Thank you to allow my participation and I hope to add experience to you. Here is some pictures from my "Ariel".

PS. sorry for my English, I'm trying to improve it! If something became unaccountable feel free to ask me.

Thank you.
Unfortunately I don't have pictures from before. Now the apeareence is OK but mechanic conditions isn't.
Now I'm working on right side (clutch) and I'll have some years ahead. Parts are really difficult to found and quite expensive here in Brazil.

See you.

Welcome, Ramon! Ariel is beautiful, and you might try this website for parts:

https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk

They also have a USA location, so whichever may be cheaper for you for shipping, try them both.

I've been to Saõ Paulo and found the people and country very beautiful. But I don't remember seeing such a beautiful bike in the country... Where was it hiding?  ;)

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Hello Calj737.
Thank you for the tip, It was added on my bookmarks.
You're right. Is really hard to see some classic ones on day by day use but we have special events and on Sunny Sundays we're used to go to streets.
The hard traffic, terrible streets condition (more holes than floor), and difficulty to found parts inhibits the day by day use.

Hi Ramones,
Welcome to the forum.
Aeriel is indeed a beauty.
I got one that I secretly (not any more) call Ruby on account of her Honda Ruby red tank.
I'm working the other way round, starting with getting it to run perfectly before stripping it down for a good clean up.
I love mine because of it's rarity. Hardly any in NZ.
Enjoy.

Actually I don't mind if Brazilian team will win this.....

I'm busy with the motorcycles that decides to broken on the same time.... Electrical problems on HD, water mixing with oil on Scooter and the CB400/4 always in a "on going" Status...

In my point of view Soccer is just a big business. Tomorrow I'll close my Scooter engine together the openning game.

You're rigth! The subways are a nigthmare and the trafic is the worst. Bikes are always a good solution with our weather.
