1978 cb750k build.....
« on: June 14, 2014, 07:43:01 AM »
Pick this project last weekend. Put gas in it and charged the battey and she fired right up. Exhaust gaskets are leaking bad and the valves seem really loud. I'll have to pull the valve cover and see if they need adjusting. Plan it to get it running for this summer and ride it and figure out what I wanna do with it. When winter comes I'll go through the whole bike get it pretty looking...

BC,

Not sure what you mean by "pretty looking," but that's a pretty solid looking K8.  Aside from the exhaust and a missing headlamp, you got yourself an "all there" running bike with no major rust issues.  Enjoy the heck out it!

Little update....made some headlight brackets and gauge mount that eliminated the center oil/turn signal triangle thing and which were cut on a water jet at work. Move the gauges lower and closer together. Also sandblasted and repainted the battery basket.

Looking good!

Good plan to ride it through the summer, you may even decide to keep it stock.
