Topic: Vetter Fairing mount needed for CB550

Other than EBAY, Where can I find a fairing mount for a 1978 CB550K? I was given a Vetter Fairing today. Will also need the wiring harness (from the bike, plugs into 9-pin socket on fairing). Any ideas? Thanks, DrMark

I may have a mount. I know if fits my fairing but is too small for my frame. I got it off ebay and was told it would fit a 750, yeah right. Anyways, I dont know what it does fit.
If you can get your measurements, I might have what you are looking for.

Thanks Eldar; What measurements should I make sure to give you? Not sure what the mount looks like as I have always used handlebar mounted units. This will be my first frame mounted fairing. I'll do the best I can....tell me what needs to be measured? Thanks, DrMark

Well there are 2 mount points on each side of the mount itself. It mounts on the cradle tubes. One set is a little below the neck and the other is about 1/3 or so the way down the tubes. So measure about 4 inches below the neck and about another 6 inches below that on the tubes and go from about the middle of the tubes, not the outside to outside.

I will try to get a pic if I can find my camera. The mount is in decent shape if I remember correctly. I never used it but did buy it used.

i'll have to check which ones are vetter, but i have about 8 fairings at my shop. i think they came on every single bike i've ever bought.

I got the measurements but I left them at home when I went to work.  I can get them tonight, unless you decide to go with someone elses mount. Then I will ebay the thing.
