Hello! New rider and proud cb750 owner!
« on: June 18, 2014, 07:43:21 AM »
I just purchased my first bike! It's a 74 CB750k 51k miles.

This was a father son project and they put some serious time and money into it. When the bike was ready to ride, they came to the unfortunate realization that it was too tall for the intended rider! I picked it up for $1,400.

I am new to riding and working on motorcycles, but I hope to take this bike apart and rebuild over the winter. I haven't been this obsessed with something since I started out as a filmmaker. I look forward to being a part of what seems like a cool community of bike enthusiasts!

A little bit more about me:

I come from a family of riders. There's a little collage on my grandparents wall of my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with their first bikes (Old Hondas except for my great-grandfather who had an Indian.)

What I just discovered recently was that they were all 24-years-old when they got their first bike. I just turned 24 and purchased my first bike. I am excited to add my picture to the wall.

Thanks guys!

Andy, I took the Abate course, so I have the basics in operation/safety.

I've been taking this bike to work and learning quickly that motorcycles are often invisible to cars!

I'm really excited to put some work into this bike.

Welcome. That looks like a good bike and a fair price if it runs and rides OK. Can you put up better pics of the coils? Looks like Accels like I have but never seen em mounted in that area.
