GWS our very own Sam Green
« on: June 20, 2014, 02:58:45 PM »
Not sure of here  entire details but Sam has had an on track incident at the Mancup in Virginia. The bike landed on him by all accounts and he is in hospital, stable but with possible internal injuries and a bit smacked up. I believe Bill is with him.

We're all with you Sam wishing you a speedy recovery and if there's anything that can be done to help either side of the pond, get Bill to let us know and we'll do it. If necessary I'll even nip up the road and cut your hedge for ya!

Keep smiling and heal quick. ;)

I just saw this on facebook, hope all turns out well and a speedy recovery. At least a couple broken ribs and some other things.

Get better quick Sammy, who'd have known motorsport was dangerous? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I have just found out off Facebook also, below is a copy of the text.

"Sad to report from our racing trip that our friend and teammate Sam Green was severely injured in an on track incident today at Virginia Motorsports Park. Sam was airlifted to VCU trauma center in Richmond Virginia. While the injuries are serious we believe Sam can make a full recovery. Your prayers and support for Sam Green and Bill Benton, are greatly appreciated."
