Hi all,
New here and just wanted to say "hey".
Owner and rider of a '73 cb500 4, and happily so.
I've been through a few bikes in my life, and kind of like Goldilocks, every one of them was too something.....
'80's CM400 twin - too much of a "late model", too slow.
'80's VS700 v-twin - too late, too HD poser, water and shaft, etc.
'78 KZ200 single - loved the size, weight, era, but far too slow.
'73 CB350 4 - loved the size, weight, era, and Honda. Still a bit slow for my desires.
'73 CB500 4 --- now we're getting closer...
'77 KZ750 twin - love the power, era, just too tall, heavy and unwieldy for me.
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna settle in with the 500 for a while - she seems "just right".
My father rode a '73 cb350 twin, and his best friend rode a '74 cb450, back in the 70's during my childhood.
My 500 belonged to a good friend's uncle, who had owned it for around 20 years.
I'm sure nostalgia and relational matters play their part as well, as they often do.
Anyhoo.... glad to be here. I look forward to it.
