Seems a curious development, is this likely to appeal to US Harley riders?

I'm not sure most harley riders around here would approve. I think it is probably the coolest looking harley I've ever seen. I live on Route 66 and there is a Harley dealership just down the street. I'll have to stop in there to see if they know when the tour will come through.

Considering how Buell's never seemed to be accepted by the HD faithful I kind of doubt this one will either but I've got to give HD credit for trying something different.

I thought they looked cheap without a cheap enough price.  I don't believe they intend or care if they don't sell a single one in the states. They were designed to sell in India and to use for their rider training courses. They made those training courses a big part of their dealerships and with the Buels gone they didn't have a choice. They couldn't be training people on hondas :). For the price I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't just get a sportster.

It has some appeal. With a 0-60 in the 4 second range it would be hard to catch. They need to build in a 1,000 watt amp playing that open pipe sound. I see the Urban Hipsters buying them. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
