I'm Sad. 1970's Bike Stickers.
« on: September 24, 2006, 12:55:09 AM »
I found a stash of old bike stickers kept flat in one of my Uni textbooks!  Late 70's icons and bike shows and products of the times.

I've put them in the Gallery as they are hi-res scans.

Enjoy.

I like the Continental tire sticker.
Most companies don't have cool stuff like that.

Yea the Continental sticker is great. Wish I had that tire on the rear :)

Those stickers would bring big bucks on ebay.

Thanks, Steve.

I have the Ogri one too, stuck (along with all of the ones I collected at the time) on my Craven top-box, which will eventually end up on the CB175.

Happy memories.

good one Steve
I have a collection still stuck on my toolbox, they are mostly car based ones though, I worked at a garage that had Motor Sport connections.

I have a sick halibrand water slide with a GT-40 rim on it that my old man gave me.

Despite my hatred for Shell Oil inc. for the contract murders they ordered, I dig the aeshetics of those stickers you have

What was that again? Never heard about it.

Might be referring to this, though it seems more like they just didn't react as folks thought they should have rather than actually participated.

Are studying for more than 30 years? respect!  ;D
Nice collection, ...memories of my childhood become present.
With the graphics you show us, you should be able to
reproduce them for selling.
Nice.

I had thought about eBaying them but I've kept these for 30 years, why would I want to sell them now.

Anyone who wants to use them is welcome (they'd make the basis of some great avatars!)

Strange that you should bring the subject up, clearing out the loft at the moment and just found a couple of 70's IOM stickers, the 1979 TT Duckhams sticker that you have and this one. Plus lots of metal badges from race meetings, rallies, and of course the TT and MGP (Manx Grand Prix)

Cheers
