Depends what you have, If you are going the Cafe route I can help. If you are doing the O.E. thing I have no idea.

Well ElCheapo  I am thinking the Cafe/Bobber route.

What I am looking for:
--To lower seat height—something that just sticks up above the frame and I do care if I lose space under the seat.
--Some thing that would allow me to take my little girl on a ride once in a while. (Not often and not far)
--Something like what Carpy does with his SS seats, I would just like the seat extended to the backlight and no hump.

I hope I did not make it sound too confusing.  I talked to Carpy but he wants $550 bucks. That’s more that I got the bike for!

Let me know if I am crazy or just daffy. :o

I really like my seat. its the stock pan so you can use the hinges for access to underneath

hopefully my avatar is big enough so you can get the idea of it.

pm me and I'll give you the contact info for the guy that did it, it was about 200 bucks

I did some mods to the one you posted. Do you think you could do one like that?  Yep I know it is different but saw one out west last summer and I think it would fit what I am trying to do.

Thanks for any help I can get,
Buck

We will be making all kinds of plastic fantastic for these bikes this winter. Included are various cafe seats, full fairings, and chin pieces.

Why dont you make your own? Would take about $15 in materials and about 2 partial nights. Go to the craft store and get a good sized piece of foam for the bum stop. Shape it how you want it, then cut out your seat pan in cardboard. Lay your glass and get shaping.

Carpy also offers custom seat builds. I guess it depends on who's style you like.

Carpy's are grossly over-priced if you ask me.  ;)

And that is not because I will be offering these soon. I have figured the labor for these and even at $65 an hour, my glass man made the seat (one off) for Home Wrecker in about 1 and 1/2 hours. Even if we had not used that old H1 tail section it would have been the same. That included my upolstery which was worth about $50 at tops. Took about 20 mintues to form and fit to the seat.

Good stuff. Got my seat there. Hooks up to the stock hinges which is totally tits. They've got a $*it ton o seats there including cr style seats. The stuff isn't sitting on the shelf though. They make it to order. Mine should be getting back from paint soon so I could show ya a couple pics this week if you are interested.

There are two that use the stock mounts (most you'll want to buy the upholstery pan for), but with some measuring i'm sure you could find more than that. They give all the specs for the seats as you click on them.
