Price check 1974 750K *with picture*
« on: June 23, 2014, 07:16:23 AM »
Well I know that this question has been asked and answered numerous times but here we go again...

I am close to completing fixing up my 77 550F and have been getting the itch for something else once I am complete with it. Found this nice, fairly complete bike only a few hours away, I know most people might just say "its worth what its worth to you" or "it depends how bad you want it" but im looking for some honest opinions here.
Asking $2000 CANADIAN dollars
40000 Kilometers, 1974 750K

It reportedly runs and drives well. What do you think a fair price is?

Is that about $1800 usd? Sounds like a good deal to me. Seems to be mostly stock and in decent shape. More and better pictures would help.

Go check it out, confirm it runs good and no other major issues.  If good, offer $1500?

Yeah that's about 1800 USD. It sure looks better than my 550 did when I got it, although the price reflected that... It would be nice to have something that I don't have to fix EVERYTHING on. Thanks for the replies.  ;D

Needs seat exhaust tires(probably) and how much you plan on putting into it?   I'd say more like 1000 to 1200 usd

Seems reasonable if it runs well - especially if it's been running recently and you're not looking at a complete rehab.

You can reupholster the seat and get new tires for less than $200.

Hondas are cheap in these parts, but those 750s are getting harder to find. It's a cool looking 'ol bike, looks like everything is there.

Around here, $1200 USD would be a steal; $1500 a great price if it runs well - $1800 would be fair - $2000 would be reasonable, but starting to edge toward a premium price.

How much does it cost to ship a bike to Australia, from Toronto?

Sorry folks, haven't been able to go have a look yet, started a new job and in the process of moving about 2.5 hrs from where I'm currently at. My wife is thinking I have too much bike stuff, but most of it is just parts from donor bikes 8)

Hope to sell the house and free up the bank account a bit soon!

If this is a good comparison...I paid $2500 for my K5 in 2010.  The PO was asking $3500. The clock read 13,500 miles. Was running pretty well.  Had similar 4 into 2 exhaust pictured here. Had a new seat. Tank was repainted one color,  non oem.  :(

Now if you get it and plan to cafe it. I've got a tank just right for knee denting. Please keep the that tank original and sell it and the side covers as a set.  Just saying.  ;D  Cheers.

No need to worry Albertaboy, no plans to cafe this thing if I can find the spare ca$h to get it. It looks to be in fair condition so no cutting wheel or angle grinder near it! I personally really like the oem colors, patina and all, why not show off its character.  :)
