DIFFERENT VIEWS
« on: September 21, 2006, 05:38:12 PM »
I was sitting in the backyard having a beer with ol' dad (77 years young ) and lamenting the sale of his 6t t-bird IN 1953 !!!!
 The convesation goes ,
"You sure got a lot of bikes here son "
"yep " slurp beer
"you could sell some"
 "yep,...............why?"
"you could get a lot of money!"
"What for?? "
"you could put it in a bank"
"oh yeah  ::) and then you know what I could do dad? "
"no "
"I COULD BUY A LOT OF MOTORBIKES!!" 8)
I know its only rock and roll,
but I like it...

Hey Bikes are better than that monopoly money they got floating around.
At least a bike is worth something :)

Sell one (or more) to your dad. Then you can bank the money and still borrow the bikes back to ride them. ::)

Try my tactic.....when someone asks....

Well....the gold colored one my dad rides...when hes here.....

Yeah that one? My Pilot buddy jumpseats in and I need one for him to ride when he visits...

That one there? Oh thats for my niece when she's home from college.....

The variations are endless  ;D

Have the right bikes in your stable and you can be assured that they will not go down in value. That beats what you get from lots of 'investments', so if you've got the space, have at it!

A friend who doesn't ride collects bikes specifically as investments; and they look a whole lot nicer than bonds.

It's not relly about making money, or investing, I just like 'em .
But I like the ghosty approach ,denial ,it's not all my fault !! ;D
And besides, the  wife likes it here a lot more if there's bikes, than if there's no bikes !
