Anybody out there speak any Missouri French? Some people may want to talk to you.

I was in Cajun country back in the day and had no problem understanding them. Thei French is quite good. If anybody spoke of using "un char" I would still get the meaning, even if it means tank also, but only since about 1917 !!
The word char-a-banc comes from it. Pity these old raditional languages are dying out, a bit like Irish in Ireland.
