Hey Guys,

I ended up buying 3 of the pinned cb550 rocker covers. Out of the three one had no cracks, which I will be using. One had a crack by a tappet cover which broke off when I applied minimal pressure (Good rocker shafts at least) and I have one that is in the best shape but it has a crack around one of the locating dowel recesses.

Would anyone bother repairing this? I could have it welded but the crack goes through the mating surface. I really don't want the mating surface welded for obvious reasons. I just know from first hand experience these are becoming harder and harder to source. It's just a shame as this cover is so mint.

They can be welded by someone that knows what they are doing.
TIG welded to keep distortion to a minimum. 4043 filler wire.

Check on a flat surface when finished.
