seriously, if you don't have them, go buy them RIGHT NOW.  got mine in the mail last night--after ordering it monday--took about 2 minutes to install, and about 10 minutes later i was done bleeding the brake lines.

makes brake fluid eaiser to change than oil.

go buy them NOW!!!!!

I concur, ......whatever shiznit means.... Had Speedbleeders for all of the (many) nipples on my VFR and it made fluid changing a half hour job, singlehanded.

      Hello Guys,

     First of all, I have a '74 CB750 K4.

     Sadly, size standards are not as easy as you may think.  I guarantee you 100% that Honda did drift around, for some reason, on the size of the bleeder valve on the FRONT end of the early CB750's........ if not any other model......... I have no idea why......

     When I bought my first Speed Bleeder, they sent me a 7MM size.  Way too small.  Then, without hesitation, they sent me an 8MM, no charges at all.  That was still too small.

     Finally, I pulled my ORIGINAL bleed valve, sent it to the Speed Bleeder people, and they sent me back a 10MM speed bleeder valve.  PART NUMBER  SS10125-SS.......... Stainless Steel version, 10MM by 1.25 threads.

     Several months back, I remember this same discussion,......everyone said they were all 7mm's, period...... One guy said his original was an 8MM........ and there were TWO guys who claimed that their ORIGINAL bleed valve was a 10MM.......... Others were saying NO WAY.......... well, I am here to tell you it is true.

     Best bet............ if you are not very familiar with metric sizes.......... pull it out, put a cork in it , and then send them your original to match it...........

Give the 10mm bolt a try. If it fits in yours too, we'll take that as a second opinion and pencil it in since the K0 - K6 have the same part number. The calipers are obviously different in the way the brake line and the bleed screw are positioned compared to the later models. That would equate to the SB10125 that jaknight used.

Once this is done we'll have to enlist the guys with the smaller SOHCs to come up with a similar list. I don't know #$%* about the other bikes. I could always go back to the parts list and get parts numbers then have them match Speed Bleeder numbers for their bikes. I'm sure there would be some matches between the 750s.

You can do cross references from the interactive parts app. at Service Honda.  I think it's the same app. that the dealers use.  Unfortunately, you need to use Internet Explorer, and you need to enable ActiveX for the site -- both of which I loathe, and neither of which I recommend.  I do use it from time to time because there is no other resource like it.

That said, it wouldn't take me too long to produce a cross reference -- if you do "Search >> Where Used" and then click on the "Description" header, you can type in something like "CALIPER A".  Each result shows the bikes that a single part fits.  You can also do it by part number.

I don't think it'll take me too long to make lists of cross-matching years/models by brake caliper.  I'll do it later when I get some time.

P.S. Does anyone else know about the Service Honda app.?  It's very hidden on their website.  I've seen a few unanswered posts about cross-references, etc., so I'll post it to the links FAQ.

US model F0's and F1's use a combination of 2 sizes which are the same as K7/K8/F0/F1/F2/F3

Here's a cross reference for CB series calipers that I transcribed from the Service Honda parts app.  The calipers are listed by part name, part number and then model.  Conceivably, each group of bikes (by part number) should have the same bleeder threads.

For example, a 10x 1.25mm fits bwaller's K3.  According to the reference below, it would also fit CB750K0 - K5, 1976 CB750, and the CB450 K3 - K7 Super Sport.

Let me know if you think I've missed any CB models.

maybe i should get a set of these... not having much luck with the '78 750F and getting the brakes as stiff as i'd like them.

may as well order a set for the VFR while i'm at it... haven't bled that bike yet - but i imagine it's a lot harder to do that the cb due to the linked braking setup.

Yup, I'll do that.  I pulled the caliper numbers because I thought it might be easier to figure out front/rear and left/right for the later F models, but I prolly should have just done the bleeder part numbers.  I think I'll redo the list by bleeder part number, and then add the matching speedbleeder part number.

     You are all doing a wonderful job here on this.

     However, I am not sure that the intention of my original posting about Honda's bleed valve sizes drifting from 7MM to 8MM to 10MM is being understood.

     When this excellent work does make it to the FAQs,......... I believe it would be wise to begin the FAQ with a note of caution........ to forewarn those who go straight to SpeedBleeder's web site without reading through the entire FAQ........... so that those people jumping to SpeedBleeder's place know that the sizes listed on their charts for Honda sizes for different years are not Gospel Scripture.......

     I am not trying to belittle the SpeedBleeder people.......... they went way beyond being good with me....... they footed the bill for shipping charges 3 or 4 times without hesitation and refused to have me pay for the charges.......... even though I gave them my credit card number and told them to throw it on the card.......... totally great people..........

     This is excellent work............ I just believe a note of caution at the beginning of the FAQ would save some quick moving people some headaches.........

Hey superchode, I'm having some braided stainless steel lines madeup for my 78 cb750f. I had to get two sets for the minimum order. Let me know if your interested in one. I may get more made up if there is someone else looking. Don't know a for sure price yet. under $200 for all 4 lines I'm sure.
