Hey folks,
I've slipped to the dark side, and I'm running a DOHC these days- 2000 Nighthawk 750 (last of the CB750s).
Unfortunately, I've also slipped on some ice, and scraped up the pulse generator cover (left side engine case cover, what you'd call the points on a SOHC) at about 15 mph. It started leaking a bit, so I popped it off, replaced the gasket, and torqued all 4 bolts to the requisite 7.5 ft/lbs.
It's still leaking
Anybody know anything about these guys? Does it require/is it safe to use gaskaseal or something? There's effectively no info in the manual.
Any help is appreciated! The slip also busted my kick stand cutout switch (which I, erm, cut out and taped up), and finally blew a fork seal (fixed that mid-trip in Portland). The leak is following me, though.
