Yes. As long as you're using the cylinders to match the early head you will be in good shape. You are actually better off since stuff like piston rings and even pistons are easier to get for the earlier K models. The only possible issue might be the carb boots (between the carbs and the head). Measure the size of the connections to the head to see if they are the same, or whether you need to use the early carbs (and boots) to match the early head.
