Just brought home a miniature 1990 Honda 2 stroke lightweight 49cc motorcycle and want to ask if there's a forum/club for them that can give me valuable info & tips so I can keep up with the maintenance/improvements over time.
Any of you ever owned one ?

Hi Gr,

nice find ! I think there may be some motor similarities between your bike and the HRC NSR50R, produced in 2004. If there are crossover parts, you may find some nice stuff, but at a HRC price.

There was a racing version of that, I think maybe an nsr. If it's anything like the yamaha dt 250, there are restrictions built int the ports as an effort to detune the motor, The DT's have a notch cut to the depth of what the intake port would be, and from what I understand you remove to the depth of the notch and you have the original configuration before the detuning and you get 50% more hp. I'm not sure if it kills the low end, but I'm sure it's been done.

I watched one of those NSR's that was at a Scottsdale Harley shop, and it was there for years, had 74 miles or something like that , probably didn't run and they were asking 1100 for it.

I think those little bikes are as fun as any , and are about the cheapest way to get around and without making  you look like a scooter jockey.

Hi fiddy,
I want to sell it so i can buy a CB125S,that little CB will carry luggage better than this little NS and climb hills better too;the NS is in nice condition and it's getting new IRC's,a Motobatt, & a full 2000 mile service+ as soon as the battery arrives.I bought it w/ a little battery in it which isn't stock size & at one point someone had installed an alarm into it! I'm pulling all the covers off of it & going to make it completely original again.
