1978 CB550K Tool Compartment?

My bike doesn't seem to have a tool compartment. It did not come with the original toolkit, and I've thrown one together myself, and I'd like to figure a way to store it under the seat. Could a picture of what the stock storage was so I have an idea? Also, if anyone knows an alternative way I could store a small tool roll under the seat please post it!

The stock kit should have been under a plastic cover at the rear of the seat pan.

Yeah that plastic piece definitely isn't there. Do you know of any place that sells replacements for this, or something I could put together myself to take its place?

On my '78 550K the piece isn't plastic. Just want to make sure you're seeing it right. Here's a picture of the underside of the rear of the seat. If I were you I'd just make a metal door with a hinge and use the existing studs with wing nuts.
