I kick myself for not taking better pictures of the subject. So I'll lace some YouTubes. But basicaly there is a bearing that dries out and makes a god awful noise when you spin the wheel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tsCeMjxcD8The noise goes completely away when the clutch locks up and goes down the road. But with the engine off, and just push it, it rattles. Harmless, but Unsellable. First is to remove the Tupperware. Soldiers row of bodywork rivets.
Some bolts and covers gets me to here:
An e Impact gets the nuts off, the variator slides off the front, the clutch and CVT slides off the rear.
The bearing in question looks like the one on top, a needle bearing, about an inch wide, but is actually located at the bottom of this rig, about to be drifted down between the wood blocks.
ASsemble in reverse. Start it and watch it play:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNCMUZSQ0PYNot sure what's wrong with the belt in that vid, I just like to watch the CVT come and go.
And so, it is now quiet as new (5000 miles) Soon to be for sale.
