71' CB500 Build
« on: October 25, 2014, 03:44:02 PM »
So this was my first time to build a motorcycle pretty much from the frame up with an intact motor. The build had its ups and downs like any other I imagine but am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of it.

looks great, I'm embarking on my first hack, a '72 500k, just like yours.  Very interesting to see you seat and such as I was trying to envision that.  I'm debating lopping off the frame so the seat won't have to be so long, don't really want to though.  Nice.

The seat pan and seat I actually made myself. I made pan out of carbon fibre by molding it directly to the frame and then fitted the cushion and sewed up the leather.
