The restoration job on my '74 CB550 is almost done. However there is one thing that's driving me nuts...the chrome-wrapped, plastic trim around the bottom edge of the seat is peeling and losing it's clear coat and it ruins the overall finished look of the bike. Can anything be done about this? It appears the chrome trim is actually made into, as part of the seat cover, which is fine (no tears/rips) so adding a plastic chrome strip on top of the factory trim is not an option. Any ideas?
