Crankcase Transmission Cover Grommet Removal
« on: July 18, 2014, 12:16:09 PM »
What is the best way remove the rubber grommet thats on the crankcase transmission cover?  I tried to pull on it with a hook tool but it didn't act like it wanted to come out.  I'm taking the cover to powder coat so I need to remove it.

Huh?

Do you mean the shift shaft oil seal? If so, pull on it with a hook tool till it acts like it wants to come out.  ;)

Or pry with a driver or tire tool.  Shouldn't be a problem.
