Vern guess what today is. WEDNESDAY. That's right 341 pipe day. I know you can't wait until they land on your door step. This is better then waiting on Santa to arrive when you were a kid isn't bluez. Want to see pics of the set even if you don't get them on the bike today ;)

My wife  doesn't ask me if I'm selling any of them anymore. She considers them dangerous but is able to understand the obsession (now). You must always be on your game to train a woman correctly about YOUR motorcylces. never show weakness, show enthusiasm  that they are interested in your machine, tell her EVERYTHING that you know about it , what you love about it, what you don't like about it, what you are going to change about it, how this change will effect the overall machine...... do this in one continuous sentence with no breaks, no interruptions, ....after hearing something like that , if done correctly ,she'll be late for that reality show on the TV in the other room and will leave you in the garage as fast as she possibly can. Don't forget to blow her a kiss as she's heading for the door. That way she'll know that you care  and her  jealousy for the machine will diminish over time.
When I'm out working on bikes and someone calls , she says "He's with his mistresses, I'll go out and get him".  I stopped answering the phone in the shop , whatever it is can't be as important as what I'm doing to a bike at the time so , no answering random phone calls anymore for me.
If my wife asks what's in the box , I'll show her, explain how it works, the condition of the last one compared to the new one ,how much better this one is , and how happy you are about it .... a few times doing that and she won't ask you the next time a box shows up at the door.
Cost? How can you put a price on it? Are you kidding? This is an intricate part of the total machine , and  without it, the entire machine ( this investment) would be worthless. Then you can tell her how much it costs but you got a great deal because usually that part is so much more...I couldn't believe it either (look excited) Don't forget to blow her a kiss as she's backing out the door. Everyone will feel better about the whole thing.
Well, now you know some of the tricks , look serious, don't be cross, smile when appropriate , make sure she feels like she's an important part of your life and remember ....She needs to feel that  she is more important than your motorcycle... don't forget to blow her a kiss (or equal) .And one day this stuff won't be an issue, it'll seem so natural and you'll both feel better about it. Good luck.

oh my God, this cracked me so much, thanks for that much needed laugh, I appreciate it. she will never get my obsession but she accepts Pandora is my mistress and knows I will never give her up.

Very good points! Overwhelm her with information and she'll eventually quit asking cause she doesn't have a clue about anything other than money. They do not wish to appear stupid  ;)

Oh yeah, after you blow her those kisses, roll her over when you go to bed at 3am. She probably won't remember that either but you'll feel better that you've taken care of her primal need. Just be as quiet as possible because she'll need to go to work in a few hours. You must be sensitive and considerate to her.
haha very funny Jerry, she no longer has a primal need, that's why I have Pandora!

NEVER tell these investments for your woman.  Some cheap ones, not the expensive ones.
You know how they are...OK today but probably a very bad issue that WILL pop-up later, 1 month or next vacation or vacation after that when economy has restrictions agains HER sudden needs. Women collects things to transform to a bad issue a long time after despite everything is OK and accepted today! There their brains have that design....
EDIT: My keyboard has issues  :)

I plan to purchase a new 4-4 with all small parts...... Not possible to tell, modified thruth about a good find for max $500 maybe... I have invested a lot the last 2 years, much more than I expected from the very beginning depsite I have done same thing before..
On the list a new TV, 70-80" that  probably will happen first....

I agree, they have a way of throwing things back up in your face years later. No way I'm telling the full price, and yes I, we, have a lot invested into our bikes, but since I'll never get rid of her, Pandora, I'm not regretting it.

If your wife were like mine you'd already be busted. She checks in and reads the forum too! Especially since Sam got hurt, she's met Sam and is genuinely concerned for his well being. Plus she can monitor my antics!

Like you say though, I could be out boozing it up instead of being close to home...

I set up a checking account and Visa card in my name only so that she can't track what I'm spending on bikes and parts. After 37 years of marriage she's still really good about my addiction to bikes and I want to keep it that way. The other strategy is to have so many bikes and part of bikes around that she doesn't notice when a new one shows up.

She doesn't ask, I show off new stuff... haha. I like involving my wife as much as possible in my hobsession. Rhonda is my other woman and our daughter's step-mother, after all. It's nice if the two of them get along.

we have a bills account that gets seeded every paycheck based on our budget, and then we both get to keep whatever is left, of our own money. We both do whatever we want!

Plenty of men here lives together with women from Thailand and eastern Europe... maybe they have a reason? ::)
There are OK women here too. I usually fall for the hot sexy ones... very often strange temper...
But I have a  good one accepting my bike and new parts for it. Important to invest small parts for the woman too .)

My wife lost an expesive piece of jewelry in feb!  I didnt notice so she told me a couple weeks ago! That was the perfect time to show her my new 45 id been smuggling around for 3 months!  Although it was in plain sight beside her jewelry she never even noticed the night sights for 3 months!
