Hi everyone,

I need to get a new master cylinder for my CB 500 1972. I want to keep the same calliper and system. Just want a smaller master cylinder so it will fit on my handle bars. Currently its all a bit too big and won't really fit.  :-[

I was looking at spending as little as I could with having some sort of an upgrade. around $100 would be fine and second hand doesn't bother me.

An suggestions on what could work for me? I have been looking and can't find any replacements that will definately work with my current system which is connected to the bottom triple tree. Please help! :o

Thanks.
Max

You can get a brand new 12 or 13mm Brembo for $120 and they're quite small. Nice master.

Can you post a picture? Some older BMW bikes (and I'm sure others) use a remote MC that tucks under their tanks. That type may well work for you too.

My friends 254 guzzi has a cable to a mc and reservoir under the tank.

I think some guys use the Ducati style reservoir they are small amazon has them cheap.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

How does the braking power compare to a radial master cylinder? I'm in the hunt for a new MC and want to max out the stopping power on these old hondas with a single rotor (ground and drilled).
