Some advice needed on new 550K

I'll try to keep it short. 76 550K alleged 23,000mi (speedo inoperable), sat for the last 12 yrs. Owners pop changed points, condensers, fr. brake caliper rebuild and ?MC, air filter, cleaned plugs, checked valve lash, had carbs cleaned, synched, new fuel hoses, adjust clutch ,oil/filter change. Badly cracked  side cover. Faded paint. It ran out fairly well all things considered, abrupt throttle transition below 3 grand.

Here are the known issues so far. 1. The grey tank liner (Kreem I guess) is deteriorating. My research indicates either POR 15 motorcycle tank rehab or a new tank. No obvious holes or repairs externally, unable to assess reust on interior. No idea of availability of a new tank or cost. Thoughts? 2. The rectifier had gone bad not sure how but the seller fabricated one from one out of a Delco Remy 10SI alternator. Like I said the thing ran but I have no idea of the appropriateness of this application, and it crowds the space and rides on top of the chain cover. I need to replace, please advise. 3. Plugs are Champion RA8HC haven't researched compatability, but need to be replaced anyway. Is the NGK D7EA correct replacement for the original ES? 4. Fuses will be replaced but see the main is a 14A and the HL is a 5A, which might have something to do with the headlight not working (came on @ 3000 rpm once). 5. Flashers not working. Run lights do. Where on this bike are the relays and will an auto 3 prong work or where can I get them? 6. Yea, the speedos not workin. 7. Can you get side panels for these? I'll eventually be painting due to the severe fading.  Oh it came with the really nasty two step aftermarket saddle so I've ordered a replacement cover and will hack it into a flat saddle.

1. New tanks are not available, used ones are. You can strip the Kream and re line with POR15 or Caswell.

2. Replace the recifiar from a combo unit from Oregon Motorcycle Parts
