« on: April 10, 2005, 06:55:05 PM »
Hey everyone. I just purchaced my first 1977 CB750K. It's not that bad of a machine. I also own a 1985 Suzuki Madura GV700. I was wondering if there is anyone else here from Iowa?

Terry, you mock us, but don't mention where your from?  Shame on you!   Looks like your profile says Colorado huh.  Awsome!  I spent a week at my buddies cabin 10 miles outside of Alma.  Love it there, I am thinking about taking my Suzuki Bandit 1200 there for a week, got to love the twistes in that area. :D

Ah yes, I love Iowa.  As soon as it is warm enough to paint something, the humidity goes through the roof!!  I live in Ames, Iowa myself.  Say what you will about Iowa, but we are smart enough not to have a helmet law of ANY kind!  Err..maybe that makes us less smart..dunno.  Ponder this, kids have to be in safety seats until they are 12, but my five year old can ride on the tank without a helmet at (soon to be) 70 MPH on the INTERSTATE HIGHWAY!!  (I solemly swear I have never done that, he has a DOT approved helmet and holds on for dear life just puttering arround town)

PS.  Some one PLEASE look at a topo map of Iowa, it is not flat as some other states, just seems that way without all the tall buildings and smog.

Oh well, off to get high on paint fumes in MY BASEMENT!!!

Hey guys, don't know if anybody will see this or not but I just bought a '77 750f in Iowa City.  I'm in Coralville now and originally from
Davenport.  Nice to see some fellow Iowans on here.
