Winter and work won't let me keep up with you  >:( >:( Jealous  :P

Looking good, especially that dash label, painted over the HONDA label? Also, glad you got the slingshot lines, I recall reading a thread where no one was getting through on their site. My K3 is going to be kitted pretty much like this one so I can't whine about the timing  :P Check PMs please.

Beautiful work, Dave.  Did you repaint the controls yourself?  If so, how did you handle the red detailed writing?

Dave, I noticed the carb's aren't on yet. Did you get any carb->head boots yet? I'm exploring options on that, I have a full set of NOS ones for my K2, and the damned things feel hard while still in packaging  :o and the clamps and screws are gnarly at best. Not sure about the boots yet, but for the clamps, I'm considering these stainless ones, worth checking out if you haven't already got that part squared away.

Thanks for that. I have nos boots in packaging as well. They feel hard, but it was the same way with my other bike, comparing to old ones, they are actually very pliable. I will probablly get clamps like that. Have factory ones, but they just feel so flimsy.

Waiting on a few small parts to button up wiring, as well as a new inner oil line. Can't do much else today so I couldn't help myself...mocked it up (except front fender)

Ha!

For anyone curious, the instructions say (and demonstrate with pix) to install them with the flanges on the head, then jam a long wooden rod up the rear of the pipes, then make them bend to fit at the pillion foot rest :o :o :o :o

No way were the rims going to be black! Gonna go chrome until my wife said match them to tank stripe

Made a small bracket and mounted ricks regulator/rectifier to side of battery box. Should still get good airflow here (I hope)

HO-LY SMOKES!  That is one GORGEOUS bike.  I absolutely love those gold rims and how they tie in to the paint job.

Do you plan to put the emblems on the tank covers?  The ones with the little gold jewel should really pop, I would think.

Yeah, I'm going to put those emblems on, as well as the black letter/chrome outline Honda tank emblem. Also need to get exhaust heat shields. All those little parts are freakin' expensive!

Mike, can't wait to hear it run! I've only ever heard 4-1 exhaust on these bikes, never 4-4 in person. My wife says it wont start and shes going to video my first attempt haha. Such confidence in me! 8) ;D I assured her that there are no leftover parts so I should be fine.

Dave,

Just a heads up that your "other" K2 has been nominated for BOTM April 2015.  Please accept the nomination in the build thread:  http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=145568.0

Great bike.  We are expecting this one to be right up there, too, or even top it.
