I never thought I would sell it, but needed money to do up this bike right. Went to a good guy though, he's taking care of it, put some cr carbs on it, new tires. Saw this pic he put on Instagram, didn't mess with it too much...

Tackled the biggest hurdle for a colorblind person today, the wiring! Got everything where I want it on electrical panel, mounted headlight and bucket.

Man I dig that color of blue! What gives with your left side fork gaiter? Too short to stay on the fork upper??

The only downside to you completing this beauty is the lack of enjoyment I've had watching you build this bike. Really an outstanding effort, Dave! Turning out to be one of my favorite stockers yet.

Thanks cal! As for the gaiters, the only problem is the laziness of the owner not pulling them down over the forks  8) They fit fine, but I had to remove forks once after test fit and never put them back

Dave, is that headlight from ebay? I bought one but hadn't tried fitting in the yamiya kit bucket yet. If it is the ebay one and it fits, another problem solved for me  ;D ;D if not, I'll find out soon  :-\ thanks anyway!

I started a thread about it a while back to no avail

Rafi,
I remember seeing the link when you originally posted it but I wasn't smart enough to save the link to these.  Can you re-post them?  I think I'm going to purchase some of them.

Yea sorry Ron, my K2 is basically a stocker/nosser so sticking with Honda ones on that. I just didn't like how clumsy they are. The stainless ones are a genuine BMW part I think, glad they fit and work well too and are on the list for my K3 custom.

Ha, not your fault, Rafi.  Usually when I see something like that, I save it to my bookmarks under the Parts tab but I forgot to do that.  And I read through pretty much every thread on here and most on the Bikes sub-forum so I just forgot which thread it was in.

I just ordered a set for my K8.  Should arrive Monday, which is perfect timing since we will be putting carbs back on the bike at some point this week.

Tackled fenders and rear brake light today. Lucas tail light. Elongated existing hole to fit grommet and mounting screw, then mounted and ran wires. Only choice is... Do I re-chrome, or paint black?!

Excellent advice.  In addition, there are a few chrome polishing products used by members with success to clean up chrome is much worse condiiton.

I am for sure going to wait on the fenders. I want to ride this thing! The rear is actually very good condition, the front has a couple small spots where the chrome is cracked/peeling. Nobody will notice but me, but I will see it every time I walk by ;D
