Nice. Keep the revs up Dave to improve oil pressure i.e. turn idle up to 2500 or so. Use a fan to cool the engine. You want as much oil as you can get to go to the cam/rockers and bearings.

Thanks! Really want to break this in right. I kicked it over with plugs out for what seemed like forever until I started seeing oil with valve inspection covers off. I'm going to give it a proper break in Thursday or Friday. I just had to hear it last night though

I bought the oil i plan to use to break it in with today. I'm a few weeks out easily, but getting there for sure. Had a setback with the seat i bought that i thought would be easier to fit than it is, so I'm looking at other options now, which sucks donkey balls.

Couple last pics before I leave town for a few days. Coming back Monday, going to take to DMV on Tuesday for registration and VIN inspection for out of state title. Then should be good to go.

Took it for first ride around neighborhood, rides sooooo nice! Can't wait to really take it out!

Went to ride bike to DMV to register this morning. Oil light came on abou halfway there. Pulled over, tried disconnecting wire to check for short. Nope. Took off inspection covers and saw top end was getting oil, even sprayed out when I started it again. Gotta be the switch. Luckily I was right next to autozone and was able to find out they had a sending unit that fits. Duralast part number PS100. Got it in there and wired. So far, so good. No funny noises

After HOURS at DMV, dealing with title issues... I got my title and plates!!!! Tank and side cover emblems should be here Thursday. Then what? Haha

Got my emblems today. The white just stood out too much, so my wife mixed together some enamel paint to get the color to match tank stripe

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about how all the modifications you have made to your engine have improved the performance and enjoyment of riding the machine? Was it all worth it?.
