As for the frame kit. I have the 'gordons' variety on my bike. I haven't felt much difference in rigidity between this bike and an F my friend has without the kit...and I ride real hard.

Having the frame kit has saved my bacon several times in the last year as well. I'm super pleased with it.
You CAN do great things...with enough beer.

Help needed

I'm in the process of pulling the engine out and the last thing have to remove is the chain. Clymer manual said that CBs come with either a master link or continuous rivet chain. Looking at mine, it had what looked to be a master link, so I removed the retaining clip and still can't get it apart. See the attached pic.

Can anyone shed some light on this? For reference, it's a 1977 cb750F super sport

Thanks!

Pry the link out from the back, but some slack in the chain first, it makes it easier.

You also need to verify the pins coming thru haven't mushroomed over and are not unable to slide out.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Update, got the old chain off today. Punched the pins out.

Confirmed the 14/43 front & rear sprocket teeth. 88 link chain. Gonna research to see what the options are for a new setup.

Upload some pics soon too. Plus results from the leak down tests.
