Hey grcamna2, sorry for the really long response.
I'm eventually going to replace the seat foam and cover. I did a test between peanut oil, Mother's "Back to Black", and some highly regarded leather restorer (comes in that brown bottle). Peanut oil was the winner, hands down. Just goes to show that natural products can sometimes be the winner!
I shined up the seat (it actually looks pretty good now), replaced the rear passenger foot pegs, degreased the chain in diesel oil, and polished both sides of the engine. All that I'm waiting for now is my pipes to show up from Powderman.
This should look like a real nice ride for how much money total I've got into it (only a few hundred total):
I also removed most of the black off of the rear of the frame (looked terrible). It's now back to silver, the way it should be!
