Rocker Arm Removal '78 CB550

I just want to make sure I am hammering the right piece. Is the threaded screw the one I need to get out to remove the rocker?

And it needs to go down I assume?

The taper pins do need to be driven out to remove the shafts.  (I don't know why you wish to do that, though.)
Put the nuts back on the threads of the pins near the top, to help preserve the threads.  Hammering will make the ends swell up and there is risk of damaging a thread with a faulty strike.  Also, put that cover on a large flat surface so it is is well supported, if you don't wish to crack the casting.

use an aluminium/copper/brass drift to knock them out,be carefull you don't damage the end threads.

I need to remove my rocker arm as the valve adjustment screw does not fit anymore. I'm open for other suggestions on how to fix that...
