VP C12 vs Sunoco Standard
« on: August 06, 2014, 06:17:49 PM »
Has anyone switched from C12 to Sunoco fuel? I know they're close but am curious if there was any need for jetting/ignition changes.

I could not tell any difference with my dragbike.

Slight adjustments for me. VP seemed to burn leaner. I prefered the Sunoco when it was readily available to me. Costs less also but no real performance difference I ever detected. Of course I never dynod anything either but my time slips were consistent in the drag bike

Thanks Frank. My supplier has switched alliances and is now selling Sunoco. I originally chose C12 for the few advantages I read it might have. Truth is it could have been better marketing, however there are certainly subtle differences. I think I'll try some Sunoco 110 but will pay attention to plugs in case there is a need to make changes.
