Not a good way to haul a bike..! !
« on: August 09, 2014, 06:06:32 PM »
Saw this today, and it was dragging,  as it crossed for a road, due to sloped exits of the parking lot. !

Years ago when I first got my 550 I got it and a 500 as a parts bike as well. I had my S10 at the time and it's bed could hold 1 bike positioned diagonally and be able to close the tailgate but not so hauling 2 bikes so both were strapped to the sides of the bed with the tailgate down. I had them strapped well and they weren't going anywhere but from an onlookers point of view it looked precarious so much so that nobody and mean nobody came withing 300 feet of the rear of that truck during the drive home. Fortunately it wasn't that long of a drive and the drivers who were way behind me were grateful when I turned off.

Years back I had an old Dodge conversion van with all the seats taken out.,  I hauled four bikes from Pa to Florida.  I took a nap under a TX500 I had in there.  I had a nightmare and woke up in a sweat staring at the oily bottom end of that TX, nearly conking my head on it.  I think I had two 350Fs, a 400F, and that TX in there.  Good times.

Just a couple years ago, I stuffed two 550's in another van I had while having all the seats in it.  Had the wife and kids too..
