The K0 would have a "ducktail" seat if not mistaken.   Do you have the "j latch" off the your current seat? The later model is different.

Salt... I would like pictures of the front fender also.  Thank you much!

Stev-o... the one I found is a ducktail seat.  He says it is from a k0. Can see it here.

Nice seat for a original build.....$215 shipped in the U.S.

Just curious if this would be a better buy than the brand new seat?  Being a college kid I have to make sure I get the right stuff the first time!  I am not necessarily too worried about getting it back to completely stock but I would like to get it as close as I can.

And I believe I have a "j-latch"... will post a picture later.  It has a locking mechanism the is simple... a half circle on a spring that you can pull out of a hole to unlock the seat latch.  Then pull the latch and the seat will come up.  I will post a picture after class tonight.

I really appreciate all of your advice! Thank you again!

Thought you had a 1971?  Ducktail is the way to go if it's a K0 and you can repair that seat where you'll be happy with it. [I dislike damaged seats]

It says 71 on the title but according to the VIN and date on the neck of the frame it is a 70.  Also the 4 to 1 throttle cable made me think it was a 70. I will post more pics and you guys can tell me if I am right or wrong.

Also, here is one of the breaks on my triple tree...

I looked up the VIN on here and it says its a 1970 but I may have been looking in the wrong spot.  If it is then that seat and a new (to me) unicorn are on the way.

It's a K0, look here...

See the gap on the triple where the bolt pulls it together? There should be a D washer in there. If not and you tighten it, the triple can crack.

Great, I was hoping I at least got that part right.  I guess that's good? ???

I have read that you cant get those washers anymore... hopefully the one I get comes with at least a couple and I can use those with what I have.  Wishful thinking.

That's fine for now as long as they are better than mine haha.  My forks have some rust at the top and I have been told that they are bad. I don't know how to tell and haven't had time to read up yet.

All forks have a little rust at the spot where the clamps are. Usually you can clean it up fine and it is not seen once the ears and gators are in place.
